I came from a generation of readers who learned without explicit phonics instruction… so I had no idea what the difference between a diphthong and a digraph was until I started pursuing my education training.
I’ve put together a list of 21 common early literacy words that you may want to keep handy. It is GREAT for bringing to PPTs (so you use the correct terminology), teacher meetings, or writing reports. It’s also great if your state requires testing for teachers in this area.
